Depending on your outlook on the current economic situation in the art world, this article in New York Magazine may make you smile or frown. It’s all about how Art Basel in Miami this year is gearing up to be bigger, more expensive and full of high-priced work. Despite what people might say, there will be less galleries exhibiting work this year and prices are sure to be more, um… conservative (if hundreds of thousands of dollars for an etching is conservative).
