Description
Lite Brite Neon Studio is seeking a field + shop technician for ongoing work servicing, installing and production of Neon artworks and signage, full time beginning in January of 2022. The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated, mindful, compassionate person with great listening skills, ability to drive a service van in and around the NYC metro area, eager to learn about wiring and electrical work, comfortable on a ladder (up to 20') and comfortable with material handling, including caring tools, fragile materials, and artworks weighing up to 60 pounds. This position involves a good amount of driving a service van ( a sprinter) into and around NYC, so a clean driving record and comfortable driving from Kingston to and around NYC is a must. (driving experience is a must). When not working in the field and doing pickups and deliveries, the shop work that would be needed is in building and maintenance support of our facility, along with the fabrication of luminous art works and signage. On the job training (including Osha 30, handling and wiring, or artworks) is offered but any shop and fabrication experience is a plus. While our company does not have a formal vaccine mandate in place, We are a pro-vaccine company around Covid-19, given the need for this person to go into various places in NYC the ideal candidate would be fully vaccinated.
